After you have had your in salon process, the treatment continues at home with the Pro Fiber home care programme where it works to prolongs the salon treatment without stripping away its effects.

Enriched with APTYL100 technology, the L’Oréal Professionnel Pro Fiber treatment works to ‘renew’ the hair so that it is instantly softer, healthier and full of shine.

What is damaged hair?

There is often a misconception of what is damaged hair, many mistake slightly damaged or dry hair for very damaged. It is important to determine what level of damage your hair is so you can cater for its needs the most suitable way.

There are many factors that affect the condition of your hair, from heat styling tools, weather conditions to the wrong haircare, which in turn results the hair drying out, frizz and damaged hair.

L’Oréal Professionnel have identified three types of damaged hair:

Level 1: Slightly damaged

Slightly damaged hair occurs at the surface of the hair where the protection layer of the cuticle deteriorates and the outer layers of the hair lose their cohesion, leaving the hair to be slightly dry and looking dull with thinner ends.

For this level there is the L’Oréal Professionnel Pro Fiber Revive range, your consultant will analyse your hair and if it fits in this category they would recommend for you to get the Pro Fiber Revive home care., which works to instantly nourish the hair leaving it smoother and softer from the first application.

Level 2: Damaged

This level sees cuticle abrasion where the outer layers are scraped off and the inner cortex is unprotected meaning it’s prone to damage. Typically hair at this level is rough with split ends. For this level, Pro Fiber Restore is the most suitable to restore the hair’s condition and leave it feeling smooth and silky.

Level 3: Very damaged hair

With level 3, hair cuticles are very damaged and the cortex is weakened. The surface is rough and has split ends, no shine and faded colour.

The Pro Fiber Recover line works to recover very damaged hair leaving it stronger and its appearance seem ‘renewed’.

After the in salon treatment comes the home care programme where within each range there are 4 stages to get you to healthier hair. A shampoo, conditioner, masque and a leave in serum all work to strengthen the hair and renew the surface as well as prolonging the effects of the in salon treatment.
