London Collections Men: Men’s Hairstyles inspiration

As London Collections Men is soon to kick start, we’re on the edge of our seat to see the latest men’s hairstyles. To give you an idea and some inspiration for men’s haircuts, our Session Team member James Oxley is back to tell us of what we can expect from this year’s LCM.

“With LCM15 looming over us, people are preparing themselves to see the next collections coming from Menswear Designers and with that, the beauty industry is readying itself for the next set of trends.

SS16 will see men breaking away from the rigidity of 50’s slick back and City Skinhead aesthetic and opt for a looser and more deconstructed approach. The 60’s and 70’s will be key players with a slight nod to the Suedeheads.

Fo0247FINAL copy 1llowing the rules of tailoring, the foundation for all these looks are cut and product. Short hair will be seen slightly grown out, skin fades will have a softer approach, as they look 2-3 weeks later, allowing the hair to soften the silhouette of the cut. With length through the top kept a little longer and blow dried straight back, or styled into loose off centre partings and onto the face.

The trend for long hair is still ever prominent, but precisely blow dried into shape with a soft healthy shine and movement through the ends.

The finish, well groomed yet effortless. Using products that have a natural matte finish, but allow your hair to breathe a little. L’Oréal Professionnel Homme Poker Paste and L’Oréal Professionnel Homme Styling Mat Fibre Paste have this perfected. Hair should have hold but shouldn’t be rigid, you want to embrace the way your hair moves and let it flow naturally into shape.”
